This melodrama is based on damaged frames of the only remaining nitrate reel of the feature film Silja – Fallen Asleep When Young (1937). All screening prints and negatives of the film were destroyed in a fire in 1959. A sequence from the middle of the film was found at La Cinémathèque Française in 2015.
