Synopsis

Vanessa, 21, lives with her disabled brother Diego, 20, and their father, Antonio, a gypsy with a strong personality. The happy, well-oiled routine of this trio is about to be upset by Diego's sexual awakening. While Antonio is proud to introduce his son to a virile masculinity, Vanessa becomes aware that her brother prefers men.

    In 2023, Melissa Silveira is a resident at La Ruche, supported by Gindou Cinéma. She wrote Diego, her first short film, winner of the Beaumarchais-SACD and Kissfilms writing grants. This story enabled her to explore the tension between cultural heritage, desire and the quest for emancipation. She is now writing her first feature film.
