    Mahmoud Samir is a Canadian-Egyptian filmmaker based in Montreal. His short Red Velvet screened at the Cairo International Film Festival and the Montreal World Film Festival. L’Okapi, his first film shot in Quebec, marks a new chapter in his work. He is now developing A Simple Will and his debut feature.
