Synopsis

Accompanied by an intense and obsessive score by Radwan Ghazi Moumneh, La dureté du mental (Mental Toughness) is a spatio-sportive odyssey in 35mm CinemaScope.
Transforming Olympic wrestling and pole vaulting Soviet films from the 1980s into expressive, painterly imagery, the film appears as a manifesto for analogue cinema in all its forms, from live projection to alchemical work.
