Synopsis
Patience, which comes from Sabali in Arabic, tells the story of Moudou’s exodus and
the resilience of his migration. It follows his clandestine odyssey, his struggle for love, and above all, his patience.

Valentin GuiodFrench director and screenwriter Valentin Guiod is known for Patience (Sabali) (2025), his last short film starring Omar Sy, Alassane Diong, Anna Thiandoum and Amadou & Mariam. In 2023, he wrote and directed Frater, his first short film and he is currently working on Magma, a short film as well as developing his first feature film Potemkine and co-creating an international series titled Fuck, Yes.
